Liquid Butanol is a colorless industrial grade solution with a strong characteristic and alcohol like odor which belongs to the class of primary alcohol which is highly in compatible with strong oxidizers, alkali metals, halogens and mineral acids. It can be used in the synthesis of the organic chemicals, detergents and plasticizers. Liquid Butanol has a chemical formula of C4H10O with a molecular mass of 74.123 grams per mol. It can also be used as a substitute for gasoline and diesel fuel due to its excellent flammability. The compound has a good solubility of 73 grams per liters at a temperature of 25 degree Celsius.
